Top 10 ways to make sure I am grounded and as tapped into my own well-being as possible.

Sleep (the older I get the more I realize sleep is a great reset) – I love naps! Even 10 minutes. If my energy is waning and there is any chance to get a nap in. I take it! Same with bedtime. Early morning is my favorite time of the day, but if I don’t prioritize sleep I miss out on the best energy flow in the am. (this is free)

Weekly Chiropractic adjustments. I think you all know why. We must walk our talk. I know that keeping my nervous system and physical body as balanced and clear as possible is IMPORTANT for my mind, body, spirit well-being. (regular chiropractic is one of the most affordable health options and its proactive). PS this generally also helps with sleep if you have trouble sleeping.

YOGA - movement, deep breathing and checking in to how your body feels while you move and breathe is also priceless. I think its impossible to get out of a yoga class and feel like that was not an amazing experience and that your mood and being is lighter. (cost most classes are under $20)

Snuggling! We need connection. This could be humans or pets or both all in one bed. It’s all good. Feeling love and feeling touch is great. We all need hugs and love to grow. A cat purring on your chest is also one of the best feelings. Also free.

De-cluttering and having your space feel like you. I am not a neat freak. I aspire to be lean in what I keep though. I like knowing where my things are. I also like feeling like things are basically organized. I also like my space to feel “home-y.” Also if you visit my office and home there are plenty of plants and crystals and positive messages around. This feels good to me. Also free unless you have someone else do it.

Running. If your system is full of more intense energy then the average cat… you may need more intense movement every day. I need to run to clear my head at times. It keeps me moving energy faster. Usually this is one the very first things I do each day. It helps now that I have a lab puppy running partner. Free (besides the shoes).

Listening to gentle music and going within. Solfeggio frequencies are one of my favorites and classical when I need to calm. Other times, I use music to get me up! But because I tend to run with more intense energy I like the balance of softer music when I am at home or just trying to relax. Then daily I close my eyes and breathe and focus on letting go of thoughts that are going through my mind. May be a few minutes of meditation or more than 10-15 depending on the day. also…..free.

Putting out new thoughts and ideas. Like a blog. Like journaling (even if no one else will ever read it). Using creating energy to write has always been helpful to me to get clear on things. Talking also helps. I have an idea. I think on it and then speak it out loud to those I trust.

Reading new thoughts and ideas. Constantly I have a book or 5 going. Depending on my mood I read. Because I do a lot of talking and listening through out the day, I prefer to read rather than listen to podcasts. Youtubes and podcasts and books and tapes are also great and EVERYWHERE! Books are not expensive and many things are free!

Allow flexibility. Try new things. I love lots of tools. One week it may be more writing and creativity. The next it may be lots of extra physical exercise. This week I had Reikii and intuitive readings. Next weekend I will be traveling for a conference and the traveling (seeing new things) mixed with hearing new people speak will spark new energy. Key is to keep yourself interested and growing. More energy and more aliveness feel GOOD!!! XO!
